What is Digital Radio ?
Many different formats have been developed by consortia of manufacturers and broadcasters. Look at a DVD player. It can read different formats as CD-R,DVD-R,DVD Video, MP3 CD and sometimes FM and AM thrue a tuner… Multi Standard Digital Radio is the same but just for radio. You can tune in AM, FM, DRM, DAB, DMB, DVB-H, Satellite and all other new digital formats that will come in the future.

How does it work ?
Put simply – digital radio works by utilising different technologies which converts the music or speech from analogue signal into digital code. This vastly reduces the potential for the broadcast to be corrupted during transmission by weather conditions, and other problems that can degradethe quality of reception.
  What does it mean ?
Digital radio means you can have stations dedicated entirely to dance, hip-hop, garage, rock, jazz, big band, country, pop, soul and disco. You can have nternational radios and national radios that you could hardly listen to before. Or you can get stations specifically for young children, the mature listener, ethnic communities, news junkies, sports fans, lovers of the spoken word, world music and environmentalists, gays, classical buffs,
...in other words, something for everyone.
